Terms of Service

The Service

Firmament gives your AI agents shared context and review gates that hold their work to your standards. We improve and change features over time.

Your account

• You are responsible for your account and for activity under it.
• Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• If you sign up on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms.
• You must be 18 or over to buy from us.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
• Attack, overload, probe, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
• Reverse-engineer or resell the Service except as the law allows.
• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or others’ secrets or personal data without authority.
• Abuse our compute, such as automated or scripted activity designed to consume a disproportionate share of resources, run up our costs in bad faith, or get around limits.

We don’t cap normal use, even heavy use. Firmament runs real compute on your behalf, including AI, and we want you to use it fully; this is only about deliberate abuse. If we see it, we may rate-limit, suspend, or end access (see Termination), and we’ll reach out first where we reasonably can.

Your content and ownership

• You own the knowledge you and your agents store. We claim no ownership of it.
• You grant Firmament the limited license needed to host, process, and serve that content to your own agents and organization, and to operate the Service, including sending text to the language-model providers we use to run it, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your content is never used to train, fine-tune or improve any model.
• You can delete your content at any time, and request a full copy of your data at any time.

Talking about our customers

We will name a Firmament customer, use their logo, or show anything from their workspace only with their explicit permission.

Plans and pricing

Some features, such as review gates, are paid. Prices are shown in the product, in US dollars, excluding VAT and sales tax, which are added at checkout where they apply. Paid features draw on prepaid credit held by your workspace. Workspace admins add credit through Stripe, our payment provider, and can turn on automatic top-up, which charges the saved card when the balance falls below an amount the admin chooses. When a workspace runs out of credit, paid features stop until credit is added. Nothing is charged unless an admin adds credit or turns on automatic top-up. We will tell you before prices change.

Availability

We work to keep the Service available and fast, but at this stage it is provided without an uptime guarantee. We may change how a product works or withdraw it entirely.

Disclaimers and liability

• The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.
• Firmament serves knowledge to your agents, but you are responsible for what your agents do with it.
• Our products are machines reading text. They miss things, misread things, and sometimes state things confidently that are not so. Sources they quote belong to other people and we do not check or stand behind them. Check anything you are going to rely on.
• Nothing we produce is professional advice. It is not legal, financial, medical, tax, or investment advice, and what you do with it is your decision and your responsibility.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Firmament AI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or US$100 if you have not paid us anything).
• None of the above applies where the law does not allow it. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for our own intent or conscious recklessness, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms - use that is illegal or harmful, or use that deliberately eats a disproportionate share of our resources or works around limits - and we will reach out first where we reasonably can. After termination you will have a reasonable window to receive a copy of your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a dispute in the courts where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice and revise the date above.

Real Deep Research

Real Deep Research is a separate product, sold one piece of research at a time. This section applies only to it, alongside the terms above.

• You buy one piece of research at a time. You write a brief, choose how deep to go, and pay. There is no account, no subscription, and nothing renews.
• Depth is measured in loops - one turn of the planner across everything found so far - and the tier you choose sets how many we run. More loops means more ground covered. It does not mean a longer or better report, and we do not promise a word count, a page count, or a number of sources.
• The times shown when you order are estimates drawn from previous runs, not deadlines.
• Your order becomes a contract when your payment goes through, and research starts straight after it does.
• We send you a link when the research is done, and a second link to everything you have ordered. Anyone holding those links can open the research, so treat them like a password. We keep your research online so those links keep working, but we do not promise to host it forever - download anything you want to keep, and ask us if you want it deleted.
• Real Deep Research prices can change at any time, and the price that applies to you is the one shown when you order.
• Where we are registered for tax, it is added at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

Your research and ours:

• Your Real Deep Research brief and the report we produce are yours. Use them, quote them, publish them, sell work based on them - we claim nothing and you need no permission from us.
• We keep briefs and reports private. We do not publish them, show them to other customers, or sell them.
• A report stays private unless you make it public yourself, and a report that has been made public is one we may point to as an example of what the engine does.

You agree not to use it for the following:

• Ask Real Deep Research to research anything illegal or intended for an illegal purpose; anything aimed at a private individual, which includes tracking, profiling, or building a picture of someone who is not a public figure acting publicly; or anything meant to harass, threaten, defame, or harm.

If something you bought from us doesn’t work, tell us and we’ll put it right or give you your money back. A run that fails to produce a report is refunded in full, automatically - you don’t have to ask.

Our products read, gather and summarise, and sometimes they get something wrong. That isn’t the same as us failing to deliver, so it isn’t an automatic refund. But we want this to be good, and when it isn’t we’d much rather hear about it: tell us what happened, we’ll do what we can to put it right, and depending on how badly it went, we may refund you as well.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK - buying for yourself, not for a business - the law gives you fourteen days from ordering to cancel and get your money back, without giving a reason. We honour it. Email [email protected] and we will refund you within fourteen days, to the card you paid with. Most of our customers are businesses, and this does not apply to them.

We can decline a brief. If we do, nothing runs and you get all your money back. If we withdraw Real Deep Research while research you have paid for is unfinished, you get your money back. For an order, the version of these terms that applies is the one published when you placed it, so a change never reaches backwards into research you have already bought.
